Internet? Blogging? all is part of our life!
Nowadays, internet is part of our life and has changed the life of us. We use the internet to search information, read newspapers or articles, communication such as (yahoo messenger, msn messenger), e-mail, video conferencing and blogging. But on the internet, we feel being lost, disoriented, unsatisfied, bored, stressed and lonesome too. According to Christian Fuchs (2008), Internet and Society, the main goal of this book is to work out a theoretical understanding of the relationship of the internet and society. It is show to question how internet and society need to be shaped in order to avoid risks and to increase the happiness of everyone.
But according to Funnell (2008), the Blogging Revolution that written by Antony Loeswenstein has analyze that power of the blogs appear in six countries. The six countries have commonality that bloggers as a tool to communicate with their world to the government. Funnell and Antony talks about how the people in the country trying to bring change to their country in order doing it by keeping low profile due to the suppressive government.
The six countries that mention by Antony are Iran, Cuba, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria and China. In these six countries, Cuba’s internet is the least developed and the reason is twofold. 1st reason are early 60’ is insanely criminal and 2nd reason is the fact that the Castro regime. The article show that most people do blog and generally speaking it’s fair privileged.
According to Wyld (2007), members of the congress, governors, police and fire departments are engage with blogging in order to direct contact with public. Therefore, internet has become a human rights issue nowadays and most of the human are blogging to tell others their stories. Blogging also become one of the engagements by the countries.
Differences of the culture also one of the matter that need to careful in order not to use wrong writing and language skill to tell the world audiences. According to Huckin, T. N., and L. A. Olsen. (1991), different countries had different culture, words and believed. It is very important for a writer to write something not to offend any others cultures or country. Some word maybe nice to a country but it is not guaranty to be nice in other country or culture.
