Good Document Design and Good Writing

From my group presentation, I understand that good document design helps the reader to understand more clearly with the context and visual. According to Schriver (1997), stated that complex graphics would bring major problems among unknowledgeable readers and a good document design should be incorporate both text and image to enhance the ability for the reader to remember or convey effective message to the reader.

According to Reep, Diana C (2006), white spaces in the slide is helping the reader to rest their eyes and direct them to the important point or information. It’s because most of the slides are too wide and will cause the readers to lose interest about it faster.
According to Berhardt Stephen (1986), wholes of the slide of the PowerPoint animation is used to make attention the audience or reader to take a look at. By using cues or signal or circle the graphic or words so that reader will make more attention into it.

Circle important words when presentation.

In order to write a good document design, the document must include necessary effects. According to Nielson (1997), readers who only schemes through and would be beneficial to them as main points. Presentation or slide must be short and informative, concentrate on the important words, circle the important parts, less words and more picture so that the readers would understand it more clearly and won't able to give up on reading on it so easily. Simple and direct are the most important for the good writing skills.
