Blogs as current phenomenon & benefits of blogging to the community



Nowadays, nearly 90% of people in the world know what blogs are and it also known as the web trend phenomenon. But according to www.technorati.com , it is a platform that known widely for the analyzing trends of blogs, blogosphere reports since year 2004 until now. Size of the blogosphere nowadays is expanding until double of it amount every 6 for past 3 months. Nearly 67,000 post per hour created and 175,000 new weblogs being created every day.

There are many of uses of blogs. Blogs are uses the software posting which permits people and public to create their thought, creation, and others. Some of them use for personal detail, diary, business, media and genre type blogs. Now, blogs has become a phenomenon that builds up relationship with someone and expresses them.


According to www.library.thinkquest.org, there are many types of blogs that usually used by teenagers. Such as personal blogs, collaborative blogs, corporate blogs, topical blogs and spam blogs. In Malaysia, personal blogs seem like very powerful and famous. According to Kaufman (2008), with about 500,000 active bloggers in Malaysia, Malaysia will be one of the largest online communities in the world.



In many countries such as USA, Canada and Australia, trend of using blog are used for business purpose. By using blogging for their business, business will able to set their target with more audience and customers and also run smoothly (Walker 2007). Therefore, blogs are using by many countries to do their business by sharing some personal reflection to someone, and forum will give more information and current event to the public. Other than that, knowledge and trend will educate them too.



The benefits of blogging to the community
  1. It is an online diary that allows you to keep you community speed up about your project.
  2. Allow Malaysian community to use the blog positively by express themselves with their own blog or read others blog.
  3. Able to get more information and share information to the public.
